Education
In its educational programs for adults and youth, the inclusive congregation:

Recognizes that inclusivity is an ongoing process, requiring sustained study and reflection on issues of concern to LGBT congregants

Provides comprehensive sexuality education for children, youth and adults that includes sexual orientation and gender identity

Offers library books and other resources that reflect diverse families and address LGBT-relevant issues Includes educational pamphlets from LGBT service organizations among other community resources it makes available to congregants

Invites guest speakers to address LGBT social concerns, such as marriage and adoption rights for same-sex couples, hate crimes legislation and homelessness among LGBT youth

Creates opportunities for LGBT congregants to lead forums and workshops, participate on panels, speak at congregational town halls, etc., to share their stories with the rest of the congregation

Integrates stories of LGBT lives and the pastoral concerns of LGBT people in its ongoing youth and adult education programs

Hosts screenings, followed by group discussion, of documentary and feature films (e.g., “For the Bible Tells Me So,” “Milk,” “Trembling Before G-d,” “Call Me Malcolm”) that address the LGBT experience, particularly with regard to religion.
